For this edition of the rocket50 Member Stories, we are pleased to highlight Purvi Shaw.

Purvi is an entrepreneur who was able to successfully transition her business to a virtual model after 20 years of business.

How did you refine your career path after you turned 50 or beyond?

I took my business virtual after 20 years to reach more people and make a bigger impact.

How did you identify that you needed to change careers, what was the most helpful resource during this time?

I was at a point where I was not able to grow anymore. My most helpful resource was to meet with people who have taken their businesses online and increased their income.

What was the greatest help to you during your career transition?

I hired a business coach who helped me take my business online. 

Looking back, what are you most thankful for when it comes to your career path and journey?

I am very much grateful for the support of people who believed in me and encouraged me to chase my dream.  

What advice would you give to someone in a career change?

Find the job/career you absolutely love and success will follow.

Is there anything else you would like to share about your journey?

The part that I am most proud of is that I'm practicing what I am preaching. One of the most important messages I impart to my clients is that their image is a composition of their authentic selves. When we connect with what makes us unique and what we value, we can find ways to express that externally. I re-learn that lesson every day and try to pass that on to my clients and teammates.
